Description

Cold-war era British bridge-laying vehicle The Centurion AVLB (Armoured Vehicle-Launched Bridge) was produced by the Royal Ordnance Factory in Leeds and was in British Army service from 1963 to 1974. It used a 52ft long No.6 Tank Bridge mounted on a Mk.5 Centurion chassis. This example is on display at the Royal Engineers Museum Gillingham, Kent, UK
