Description
English: Rear Adm. Peter Fanta, right, salutes Vice Adm. John Miller, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, as he is relieved by Rear Adm. William Lescher as commander, Expeditionary Strike Group 5 during a change of command ceremony. ESG 5 commands amphibious forces deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. The forces are tasked with crisis response missions, humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
