Description
Italiano: Bernardino Lanzani, Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine (Pavia) L’ opera è firmata da Bernardino Lanzani di San Colombano, ed è datata 4 agosto 1515. Gesù bambino è in piedi su un plinto classico, sul quale è rappresentato un medaglione in bronzo con un monumento equestre che sembra alludere al Regisole. Ai lati si dispongono Sant’Anna e la Vergine, Giovanni evangelista e Gioacchino; in primo piano due piccoli angeli musicanti. Nella parte inferiore i due riquadri raccontano L’incontro di Gioacchino con Anna e la nascita della Vergine. I piccoli tondi laterali contengono i ritratti di due carmelitani: Sant’Angelo martire e sant’Alberto di Sicilia.
