Deutsch: Kirche St. Benedikt, Schrenkstraße 4, München, Stadtteil Schwanthalerhöhe („Westend“): Im hinteren Teil der Kirche (an der Ostwand des südlichen Seitenschiffs) sind zwei Schaukästen angebracht, die (links) die Krippe und (rechts) diese Spieluhr zeigen. Wenn man auf den Lichtschalter für die Krippe drückt, setzt sich auch die Spieluhr in Bewegung: Die Türe der Kapelle öffnet sich. Das königlich dargestellte Christkind (mit Krone, Reichsapfel und purpurnem Mantel sowie Segensgestus) kommt auf einer rotierenden Scheibe herausgefahren, zeigt sich dem Betrachter und verschwindet durch den Seiteneingang wieder in der Kapelle. Die Türe schließt sich wieder. Früher waren solche Apparate oft mit Opferstöcken verbunden: Das Licht und/oder die Mechanik wurde erst nach Münzeinwurf eingeschaltet. Ob das auch bei diesem Automaten früher so war, ist dem Fotografen nicht bekannt. Jetzt genügt ein einfacher Knopfdruck. |
