Hij breekt het brood, zoals bij het Laatste Avondmaal. Bedienden lopen af en aan met voedsel en drank. Rechts op de achtergrond is te zien hoe Christus als tuinman verschijnt aan Maria Magdalena ('noli me tangere'). Links op de achtergrond is te zien hoe Christus met twee mannen onderweg is naar Emmaüs. Deze prent is onderdeel van een serie van twaalf prenten met scènes uit het Lijdensverhaal.
