Summary[edit]

Description Most of the public buildings in St. Marys such as this town hall and the public library as well as many commercial and residential properties in St. Marys were erected using the local stone from "The Quarry". St. Marys stone was shipped all over Ontario for use as decorative building material. St. Marys acquired the moniker "Stone Town".
