Climax of Hazardous 8000-mile Flight. Two well-known Philadelphians, J. Wesley Smith, the aviator (right), and Roles Gallatin Welsh, sportsman son of the late Charles Newbold Welsh are shown just after they brought down their cabin plane in far-off Saigon, French Indo-China, a jungle-encircled town in the heart of the world's finest big game hunting region. They had plenty of adventure on the way to Saigon from L Havre, France, where their aerial jaunt began.
