Summary[edit]

Description
English: The continuous chain drill bit is a type of chain with natural and man-made diamonds mounted on the links. These diamond studded links comprise the cutting surface of the bit. As this surface wears down, the chain can be rotated and the surface replaced. This cutting surface replacement method saves the time needed to bring a conventional drill bit to the surface, replace the drill bit and return the drill underground. The sandia drill bit can replace its cutting surface about 15 times before the drill bit itself needs to be replaced. single point diamond turning
