Title |
Cloth Seal |

Description |
English: Complete lead cloth seal. Disc 1 has a faintly scratched design of what may be a merchant's mark. Disc 2 has a stamp depicting a windmill - a simple building with a hipped roof and a door, set on top of a triangle which presumably represents the post, with a ladder leading up to the door. No sails are visible. No parallel to this seal has been found either in the BM collection or the Salisbury Museum collection. |
