Deutsch: Als in den 1930er Jahren Wappen für die einzelnen Gemeinden des Kreises Northeim entworfen wurden, schuf man für Höckelheim ein Wappen, das auf Geschichte und Tradition dieses Ortes hinweisen sollte: Es stellt einen auf blauem Grund aufgerichteten Lebensbaum mit lilienartigen Endblumen dar, der mit einem liegenden goldenen Anker belegt ist. Der Lebensbaum ist ein bäuerliches Symbol. Die Heilige Maria, die als Patronin des Nonnenklosters Höckelheim genannt wird, hatte als Symbol die Lilie, das Symbol der Reinheit. Der Maueranker entstammt dem Wappen der Herrschaft Plesse.
