English: "Gateway at Columb John", 1800 watercolour by Rev. John Swete (d.1821) of the arch, circa 1590, of the former gatehouse to Columb John mansion house in the parish of Broadclyst, Devon. The ruinous walls of the gatehouse shown behind no longer survive, only the arch survives. Devon Record Office: DRO,564M/F17/171
