Summary[edit]

Description
English: Consuelo Lozano, a Mexican American woman and grandmother of American evolutionary biologist Adriana Briscoe, was the only Spanish-surnamed woman to graduate from Colton High School in Colton, California in 1937 out of a class of 110 students. In 1979 Lozano Mejía was a member of the largest graduating group of bilingual teachers in the United States.
