Copper alloy medieval annular buckle
Description
English: Complete copper alloy medieval annular buckle. The buckle is formed from a circular loop frame, circular in section that is of even thickness with no pin constriction. The pin is simply curled around the loop. It is flat in section and tapers to a broad blunt point. The object is abraded but the original surface survives in patches with an even dark green patina. Exposed surfaces are lighter green. The buckle has a diameter of 17.88mm. The loop frame is 2.42mm wide and 2.76m thick. The pin is 18.9mm long. The object weighs 2.04g.
