English: Copper alloy 19th century button probably pewter with the remains of the original gilding. The button is discoidal with a convex front and concave back decorated with a military motif from the 10th Regiment (North Lincoln) of foot of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. The button depicts Arabic numbers a crowned wreathed and is rimmed this would place it between 1856 and 1871AD. The button is gilded which suggests that it is an off an officers uniform. The diameter is 25mm. |
