The photo shows copper agglomerate which was formed as a result of electroless metallization of a polymeric material.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: In the metallization process, a copper coating was applied to the surfaces of the polymeric material. The metallization solution consisted of copper sulphate and auxiliary substances. Before the copper deposition process, the polymer surface was etched with sulfuric acid and activated with palladium compounds.
Polski: W procesie metalizacji na powierzchnie materiału polimerowego została nałożona powłoka miedziana. Roztwór do metalizacji składał się z siarczanu miedzi oraz substancji pomocniczych. Przed procesem nakładania miedzi powierzchnia polimerowa została wytrawiona kwasem siarkowym oraz zaktywowana związkami palladu.
