Description
Nederlands: Beschrijving Poortje van het voormalige Spinhuis, Spinhuissteeg 1

Met reliëf uit 1607, toegeschreven aan Hendrick de Keyser, voorstellend de tuchtiging van twee vrouwen met een gesel. De poort met het jaartal 1645 draagt het opschrift 'Schrik niet. Ik wreek geen quaat, maar dwing tot goet. Straf is mijn hant, maar lieflyk mijn gemoet'. Foto 175 in de publicatie 'Amsterdams Bouwkunst en Stadsschoon 1306-1942', uitgegeven onder redactie van prof. ir. J.G. Wattjes en F.A. Warners.
