Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Brisbane Courier

2 May 1910

Runaway In Queen-street.

Some excitement was caused in Queen-street on Saturday by a horse attached to a cart, winch had been standing out side an undertaker's establishment oppo- site the Town hall, bolting up the street at full gallop, in the direction of the bridge. There was a good deal of traffic in the street at the time, but the horse reached the corner of George-street without coming into collision with any of the vehicles that were passing up and down. Constable Zohn pluckily endeavoured to stop the runaway, and succeeded in turning the horse down George-street, but it was not until he had been dragged along the street for about 30 yards that he was able to bring the animal to a standstill. Fortunately, no damage was done.
