Pour être inoffensif, le corset doit réduire ses proportions à celles d'une large ceinture destinée surtout à supporter les pièces d'habillement ; il doit s'adapter à la forme des parties Forme droite qu'il est destiné à soutenir sans les comprimer, il doit être élastique afin que les organes conservent leur libre exercice.

Les modèles (fig. 2101 et 2057) sont disposés de manière à n'exercer aucune pression sur la région épigastrique et sur l'a partie supérieure de la poitrine. Les seins viennent reposer sur les goussets sans subir aucune compression.

Ces modèles favorisent les fonctions de la digestion et de la respiration. Ils Ont l'avantage d'allonger la taille et de soutenir la partie inférieure de l'abdomen comme le ferait une ceinture.
