A small pot with a foot, spherical body and thick rim. The pot is covered with a green glaze which is chipped in places. This pot may have been used to hold cosmetics or ointment.

Object history File of material relating to a cosmetic pot. Includes photocopy of information card with photocopy of image of object. Comment states that ‘Vandon St. S.W. 25/10/27’ is marked on label (date unspecified); Hunt Museum object comment sheet (22 February 1996) comprising remarks by Eileen Whyte, archaeologist/pottery specialist. She dated the cosmetic pot to the fifteenth or sixteenth century and said it was English but a copy of French ware.
