English: Handwritten on verso: CHELMSFORD 4 m. bk. Capt. N.A. Thomson CHELMSFORD was built in 1893 by Fairfield Shipbuilding Co. in Glasgow. It was owned Briggs, Harvie & Co. of Glasgow. The first Captain was Captain W.B. Thomposn. It was sold in 1897 to Aitken, Lilburn & Co., of Glasgow, and then to F. Briggs & Co. of Glasgow in 1902. Finally, it was sold to G. Milne of Aberdeen in 1909, and was renamed the Inverlogie. Inverlogie was sunk in 1917 by a German U-Boat on a trip from Cardiff to Archangelsk. |
