English: Handwritten on verso: CARNARVON BAY 3 m. ship Capt. Wm. Griffith Built by A. Rodger & Co. of Glasgow in 1894. Owned by Owen Roberts & Co. of Liverpool. She was captained by William Griffith. The ship sank off Seal Bay, King Island, near Australia, after striking Stanley Rock, on September 16, 1910. Two boats got away. CARNARVON BAY has never been found. |
