Summary[edit]

Description

Crowd at Tony Evers' 2022 election night party (held at the Orpheum Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin) reacts to CNN's projection of Evers' victory. For nearly all in the room, this projection was the first confirmation that Evers would indeed be reelected. Since CNN was the only network which the video screen at the party was showing, this was the first that many there had seen that Evers would indeed be reelected.

Another major network (either ABC or NBC/MSNBC) had made their call shortly before this and Evers' Republican challenger Tim Michels had already conceded, though CNN had not yet reported on Michels' concession (since I and others near me were following news on our phone, we were awar of both the other networks' call and Michels' concession, and this was the reason I hit record quickly after CNN's graphics indicated they would be making a breaking projection, as I correctly expected it would be on the Wisc. governors race).
