Former house of Antal Hencz (1839-1899) architect, leader of the Volunteer Firefighters' Association, president of the Industrial Association. It was built in 1879 as the seventh house on Kisfaludy Street. It was the site of the land registry and tax office (one of the county centres of the royal duty assessment offices was established in Kanizsa in 1875, its competence extended to Međimurje as well). With his architectural activities, Hencz participated in the creation of the image of the city center today. Among the most beautiful buildings erected by him is the Honvéd Barracks (Sugár út). Until his death, Hencz also made significant contributions to Keszthely as an architect and participant in local public life. - Building history plaque: "Hencz House is a building of local importance. The house of master builder Antal Hencz. He built it in 1879. In the 1880s it housed the land registry and tax office. Our most beautiful buildings erected by Hencz are: the Honvéd barracks, the Keller House, the town hall tenement, the church in Kiskanizsa. Under his leadership, the Volunteer Firemen's Association was founded and operated from 1871, and the Industrial Association from 1876.//The memorial plaque was erected in 2005: Smokecarvers Ltd. Hencz Antal (1839-1899) építész, Önkéntes Tűzoltó Egylet vezetője, Ipartestület elnöke, egyemeletes saroképülete. 1879-ben a Kisfaludy utca hetedik házaként épült. Ittvolt a telekkönyvi és az illetékszabási hivatalnak (a királyi illetékkiszabási hivatalok egyik megyei központja 1875-ben létesült Kanizsán, hatásköre a Muraközre is kiterjedt). Hencz építészeti tevékenységével részese volt a belváros mai képe kialakításának. Az általa emelt legszebb épülete között van: a honvéd laktanya (Sugár út). Hencz haláláig Keszthelyen is jelentőset alkotott építészként és a helyi közélet részeseként. - Emléktábla: "Hencz-ház helyi jelentőségű épület. Hencz Antal építőmester háza. 1879-ben építette. 1880-as években helyet adott a telekkönyvi és az illetékszabási hivatalnak. A Hencz által emelt legszebb épületeink: a honvéd laktanya, a Keller-ház, a városházi bérház, a kiskanizsai templom.
