English: Date of Discovery: 1st April 2010

Circumstances of discovery: Whilst searching with a metal detector.

Description: Damaged and incomplete Post Medieval silver cufflink element formed of a circular disc missing a downturned rim. It has a stamped design of a flaming heart pierced by two downward pointing arrows. A silver wire loop is soldered onto the reverse, which is now completely flattened against the disc.

In its current condition, it measures 12.79mm in diameter, is 1.37mm thick and weighs 0.5 grams.

Date: Post Medieval - 17th Century

Disposition: Disclaimed

The object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal and is over 300 years old. Consequently it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content.
