Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Berglen ging am 1. April 1972 aus der Vereinigung von Bretzenacker, Ödernhardt, Öschelbronn, Oppelsbohm, Reichen¬bach bei Winnenden, Rettersburg, Steinach und Vorderweißbuch hervor, in die am 1. Januar 1975 noch Hößlinswarth eingegliedert wurde. Während der Dreiberg im Wappen auf den von der neuen Gemeinde übernommenen Landschaftsnamen hinweist, bezieht sich der Kirschbaum auf eine charakteristische Sonderkultur der „Berglen", die zuvor schon die Wappenbilder von dreien der neun Vorgänger-Gemeinden geprägt hatte. Das Landratsamt Rems-Murr-Kreis verlieh das Wappen samt der Flagge am 1. September 1978.
