Description
English: The arms of the Amt Liedern-Werth were granted on July 17, 1948. „The arms shows a post mill, a kind of typical mill in the area. The arms remember on the last mill in the Amt, the mill of Spork village, destroyed by a storm in 1942."
Deutsch: „Das Wappen des ehemaligen Amtes Liedern-Werth zeigt in rotem Schilde eine goldene (gelbe) Bockwindmühle auf einem grünen Hügel.“ Das Wappen hält damit die Erinnerung an die 1942 durch Sturm zerstörte Bockwindmühle in der Bauerschaft Spork wach, die letzte ihrer Art im ganzen damaligen Landkreis Borken. Die Mühle ist darüber hinaus auch als Sinnbild für den überwiegend landwirtschaftlich bestimmten Charakter des Amtsgebietes gewählt worden.
