Object history
Deutsch: Das Dorf Bärweiler war ein Lehen der Wildgrafenschaft in Händen der Familien Stromberg und von Merxheim als Ganerbschaft. 1382 gelangt ein Teil des Ortes und Gerichtes an die Wildgrafen Otto und Friedrich zu Kyrburg. 1461 erhält „Fust“ von Stromberg das Lehen seines Vetters Syffryt von Stromberg. Die wildgrafen von Kyrburg führten als Wappen in Rot drei goldene Löwen. Fust (Faust) von Stromberg führte ein von Rot und Gold geschachtetes Schild. So symbolisiert das von Rot und Gold geschachtete Schild die Verbindung zu den Herren von Stromberg, die schwarze Spitze die „Langensteine“ und der Löwenkopf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zu den Wildgrafen von Kyrburg.
