Deutsch: Die Darstellung folgt dem Motiv des ältesten bekannten Gerichtsiegels aus dem Jahr 1521, als Bornich zur hessischen Landgrafschaft gehörte. Deren Wappen, der rot-silbergeteilte Löwe, steht vor der Gestalt des St. Urban, dem Schutzpatron der zahlreich im Ort vertretenen Winzer.
