Object history
Deutsch: Die neue Stadt Creglingen, die am 1. Februar 1972 aus der Vereinigung von Archshofen, Blumweiler, Craintal, Creglingen, Finsterlohr, Frauental, Freudenbach, Münster, Niederrimbach, Oberrimbach, Reinsbronn, Schmerbach und Waldmannshofen hervorgegangen ist, nahm das Wappen ihrer gleichnamigen Vorgängerin wieder auf. Es zeigt die hohenloheschen „Leoparden" im Gegensatz zum Herrschaftswappen mit nach oben geschlagenen Schwänzen, ist in den Stadtsiegeln seit 1437 belegt und blieb auch nach dem 1448 erfolgten Übergang der Stadt von Hohenlohe an Brandenburg-Ansbach unverändert. Das Landratsamt Main-Tauber-Kreis hat dieses Wappen der neuen Stadt Creglingen samt der Flagge am 21. Dezember 1976 verliehen.
