Object history

Die linke Schildhälfte erinnert mit dem Wasserrad an die "Brandmühle" am Traunbach eine beim Bau der Trauntalstraße abgerissene alte Wasserschleife, der Wellenbalken als Symbol für Bach deutet redend den Ortsnamen.

Die rechte Schildhälfte verweist auf die ehemaligen Inhaber der "Vogtei" Achtelsbach zu der Dambach gehörte, das halbe Hunolstein'sche Schild: in Gold mit zwei roten Balken begleitet von 12 (5:4:2:1) roten Steinen.
