Deutsch: Das Kreuz nimmt Bezug sowohl auf die Heiligen Vierzehn Nothelfer und den früheren Wallfahrtsort als auch auf den im Konzentrationslager Buchenwald verstorbenen Dickenschieder Pfarrer Paul Schneider. Das Eichenblatt symbolisiert den Waldreichtum der Gemeinde. Die untere Schildhälfte verweist auf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zur vorderen Grafschaft Sponheim.
