Object history Die vordere Schildhälfte weist auf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zur Wild – und Rheingrafschaft. Die hintere Schildhälfte zeigt das Wappen der Herren von Senheim, die in einer Urkunde vom 5. Mai 1367 als Herren des Ortes erwähnt wurden. Am 14.6.1464 trat Wilhelm Vogt von Senheim und seine Schwester Eva von Senheim, die mit Werner von Löwenstein verheiratet war, den Ort Gösenroth an die Wild – und Rheingrafen ab.Der grüne Stab wurde wegen der landwirtschaftlichen Struktur der Gemeinde gewählt.
