Object history
Deutsch: Ein Schultheißenamtssiegel des 19. Jahrhunderts zeigt als nicht heraldisch aufgefasstes Siegelbild eine Tanne auf einem „Boden". Im Jahre 1930 erschien dieses Symbol des Waldreichtums in einem Ovalschild innerhalb des Gemeindesiegels. Es gelangte schließlich - verdoppelt und mit dem auf das Naturschutzgebiet Ebnisee hinweisenden Wellenschildfuß verbunden - in das Wappen. Am 28. Februar 1961 wurde dieses Wappen samt der Flagge vom Inneministerium verliehen.
