Im Blau ein nach halbrechts gewandter Bischof in goldenem Gewand mit Mitra und Stab in der Linke, mir der Rechten einen silbernen schwebenden Anker segnend, zu seinen Füßen einen silbernen Schild, darin ein roter Adler, hinter dem ein Bischofstab schräglinks zu sehen ist.

Object history Der Bischof ist der hl. Nikolaus, ihm ist ein Anker als Symbol beigegeben, das auf die Mesenicher Schiffer und Schiffsbauer hinweist. Das kleine Wappen zu seinen Füßen ist das Wappen der Abtei Brauweiler, die in Mesenich Grund-, Lehns- und Gerichtsherr war.
