Object history Das Schildhaupt verweist auf die ehemalige Zugehörigkeit zur hinteren Grafschaft Sponheim, Oberamt Birkenfeld. Das Grün des Feldes versinnlicht die in der Gemeinde betriebene Landwirtschaft; der goldene Löwe ist Hinweis auf zwei gefundene Sandsteinlöwen in der Gemarkung auf dem Beel.
