Object history |
Deutsch: Oberleichtersbach gehörte vom 9. Jahrhundert bis 1803 zum Hochstift Fulda. Unter Fürstabt Placidus von Droste (1678 bis 1700) wurde die katholische Pfarrkirche St. Petrus und Paulus erbaut. Über dem Kirchenportal ist ein Wappen angebracht, welches das persönliche Wappen des Fürstabts und das Wappen der Abtei in Silber ein durchgehendes Kreuz vereinigt. Dieses, allen Gemeindeangehörigen so vertraute Bild, wählte man zum Gemeindewappen. |
