Deutsch: Die Farben weisen auf die langjährige nassauische Landesherrschaft (Blau/Gelb) und den Waldreichtum sowie die frühere landwirtschaftliche Ausrichtung des Dorfes hin (Grün). Der Wellenkeil symbolisiert den Lasterbach, der den Ort durchfließt. Die St. Josefskapelle ist das älteste und bedeutende Bauwerk im Ort. Die Rodungshacke gibt Hinweise auf die Gründung des Ortes als Rodung und stellt gleichzeitig einen Zusammenhang zum Ortsnamen her.
