Object history
Deutsch: Die silberne Zinnenmauer entstammt dem Wappen der Familie von Preysing zu Kopfsburg, die die Hofmark Pastetten etwa 1485 erwarben. Der Mohrenkopf ist aus dem Freisinger Bistumswappen übernommen und unterstreicht die engen Verbindungen der Gemeinde dorthin. Bereits im 10. Jahrhundert wird Pastetten in einer Freisinger Urkunde genannt. 1682 erwarb das Hochstift Freising die Hofmark Pastetten mit der Hofmark Kopfsburg von der Familie Preysing und war bis zum Übergang an Bayern im Jahr 1802 wichtigster Grund- und Niedergerichtsherr im Gemeindegebiet.
