Object history

Schollbrunn führt in seinem Wappen in Silber auf grünem Boden (heraldisch) rechts einen natürlichen Laubbaum und einen roten Schöpfbrunnen. Schollbrunn, das ehemals zur pfälzischen Kellerei Eberbach gehörte, also eine andere historische Wurzel hat, besitzt ein (auf den Ortsteil bezogenes) "redendes Wappen", einen Schöpfbrunnen. Das Wappenbild wurde 1913 vom Generallandesarchiv festgelegt.

Der Laubbaum kann als Bezug auf die ländliche Lage gedeutet werden. Der Begriff "heraldisch" bedeutet: Das Wappen ist spiegelverkehrt zu betrachten, da es im Siegelstempel spiegelverkehrt geschnitten ist.
