Object history | Der gezinnte Balken weist auf die ehemalige Burg des Ortsadels, der Herren von Walkertshofen, hin. Die Farben Rot und Silber stellen die engen Beziehungen des Domkapitels Augsburg zu Walkertshofen dar. Das Domkapitel erwarb Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts erste Güter im Ort und ist seit 1492 alleiniger Grundherr. Der Dreiberg ist dem Wappen des Augsburger Stifts St. Moritz entnommen, das ebenfalls im Gemeindegebiet begütert war. | ||||
