Deutsch: Der Bogen im Wappen weist auf die Fuchskaute hin, die mit 657 m höchste Erhebung des Westerwaldes. Das Gewölbe und das Wellenband symbolisieren die Quelle der Nister, die sich von hier aus den Weg in den hohen Westerwald bahnt.
