I had to go down a dirt road for 4 km to reach this place, I am glad I did. The most travelled lighthouse in the world! After 20 years of exile in Québec City, the Pointe-à-la-Renommée Lighthouse was returned to its initial site as an element of Gaspésie's architectural heritage. This historic site was home to North America’s first maritime radio station, installed by Marconi in 1904. |
