PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks. This is in the Baxter's Harbour area, it is about 3/4 kilometer from the junction of the Old Baxter Harbour Road and on Long Beach Road. It is in the woods on the right side of the road. I went in a driveway that had a steel cable blocking the entrance (private property). After a short walk there was a fifth wheel travel trailer and the falls were to the left of it. The falls go into a ravine and I saw no easy way down to the bottom and it was icy everywhere. There were a set of stairs that had totally fallen apart and unsafe. The falls have a perfect drop of about 6.1 meters (20ft) and is framed in a small ravine. I have decided to start a new book "Waterfalls of Nova Scotia and Beyond". I will be hunting for some of the 1000 waterfalls in Nova Scotia but not in the winter, I prefer some leaves and colours and many of them require a lot of hiking to get to. |
