Title
DUR-C6CF65 annular brooch or buckle
Description
English: A complete copper alloy annular brooch or buckle dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1250 to 1400.

The brooch has a circular frame which is not decorated/ The pin is still attached and is made of a copper alloy wire which has a circular diameter and tapers to a point. The wire curves round to form a loop which attaches it to the frame.

No constriction for the pin is present which as Egan and Pritchard (p.64-65) state "is generally an indication of a brooch rather than a buckle" therefore suggesting this example is a buckle.
