Description
English: DZRJL (Ljubljana Cave Exploration Society) field trip in the forest, on return from Ledena jama (Ice Cave) on Velika gora near Ribnica, Slovenia. The photo was taken by Ivan Tavčar in 1912. In the picture from right to the left: 1. the guide - forestry engineer Fischer, 2. manager of the Rudež forest estate, DZRJL cavers: 3. hydrologist Karl Pick PhD., 4. Pavel Kunaver, 5. Ivan Michler, 6. Lojze Tavčar, 7. Srečko Bizjak; resident from Ribnica: 8. Jože Rus, PhD. and 9., 10., 11. - locals from Ribnica. The photo was published in the book Pavel Kunaver: "V prepadih" (In the Precipices), Družba sv. Mohorja, Celje, 1932, on page 87. It was scanned and processed by Marko Simić, additional modifications by Primož Jakopin.

This Slovene work is in the public domain in its source country and the United States because its copyright expired pursuant to the Yugoslav Copyright Act of 1978, which provided for copyright term of the life of the author plus fifty years, or twenty-five years since the publication for photographs and works of applied art (details). This applies to works already in the public domain on or before 29 April 1995, when a new copyright act became valid, which is also before 1 January 1996, the URAA date.
