Description
Centsprent met 5 x 4 houtsneden, met afbeeldingen van de Amsterdamse kermis, met mensen die kermis gaan wensen ('om wat te krijgen van de menschen'), de verkoop van melkthee, mosselen, genever, olie en eel, neuten, honden en katten, aardappels en plaatkoeken. Met diverse volksvermaken zoals een gans van de paal afschieten, gansknuppelen, hondengevechten, 'kneplen' (katknuppelen). Men kan naar de herberg gaan, met een bijl hakken, ruzie maken om de halfvaten en zich laten wegen. Er zijn liedjeszangers en een kwakzalver. Met tweeregelige rijmende onderschriften.
