  • Een Arabier, op rooflust heet,
  • Of een pikeur 't u eens woû leeren,
  • Hoe dat men d'onwil kan regeren;
  • Ja, 'k wed bij boog uw stugheid wel,
  • Zoodat gij niet zoudt wederstreven,
  • Al werd tot ruiter u gegeven
  • Een boertje of vriend Polichinel.
  • Kom aan, al mag 't u weinig lijken,
  • Al ziet gij nog zoo boos en vreemd;
