Decorative floral feature embossed on shellcase
Title
Decorative floral feature embossed on shellcase
Description
English: Charlotte Lily (née Collier) Clark was born in London. She was a nurse and worked in Russia and later in India during the Great War. On her return she married c. 1920 and took up teaching nursing in Dublin. She died c. 1990 at about 90 years of age. This unusual artefact was in her possession. It appears to be a cannon shell converted to use as a vase. It is decorated with a floral design embossed on its side.
