Over 1,100 architectural design proposals were submitted from all over the world. The memorial will be built on the western side of the Pentagon adjacent to the site of the aircraft impact. Riley, a panel member for the design competition, is the chief curator of design and architecture at the New York Museum of Modern Art. |
