English: A U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier launches from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during flight operations in the Mediterranean Sea on April 19, 2005. Kearsarge and the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of the war on terror.
